SAERI is our parent charity, registered in the United Kingdom and acknowledged on the Falkland Islands' register of Charities. Originally, SAERI began as a department of the Falkland Islands Government in March 2012. However, in July 2017, it became an independent Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

Following its independence, SAERI established SAERI (Falklands) Limited (SFL), a company limited by shares and registered in the Falkland Islands.

Importantly, SFL operates entirely at arm's length from its parent, SAERI, and is governed by an operating agreement along with shared internal policies. In support of its charitable mission, SFL donates its available profits to SAERI to help fund core operational costs, thereby ensuring the charity can continue fulfilling its charitable objectives.
